ticalc.org: ticalc.org
is the most extensive TI calculator site that's out there. It's
main feature is the biggest TI file archives anywhere, but it
also contains TI news, Assembly programming information, and several
other sections.
Dimension-TI: Dimension-TI
is probably the second most known news and file site for TI calculators.
It contains large file archives, TI news with moderated commenting,
information on programming, and more.
TI-News: TI-News, as the
name suggests, is a TI news site. It has news updates more often
than ticalc.org but has smaller discussions.
Programming Sites
Techno-Plaza: Techno-Plaza
is a website dedicated to 68k TI calculators such as the TI-89.
It has many programming resources for writing in both Assembly
and C. If you want to learn to program Assembly for a 68k calculator
(which is best for games and graphical programs, as TI-Basic is
many times slower and not good for them), this is the place to
look (unless you already know some type of Assembly and don't
want to write in C, in which case Jimmy
Mardell's 68000 Guide is the place to look).
TI-GCC: TI-GCC is a modification
of the popular GCC compiler, allowing you to write TI-89 and TI-92+
games in C. If you don't know Assembly but want to program fast
games for the TI-89, I recommend using this.
Miscellaneous TI Sites
Dmoz's
TI Directory: This site is a good one, as it is the TI calculator
page of the Open Directory Project, a project used to categorize
much of the internet (and that many search engines use). If you
don't find what links you need on TI-89.org, or want a list of places
to buy TI's, check out this site to see even more TI links with
their descriptions.
Texas
Instruments' TI-89 Page: This is TI's TI-89 page. It includes
basic information about the TI-89 and also contains its Flash
applications, which include the upgraded OS (although this cuts
compatibility with most games), its Statistics with List Editor,
and a few paid programs. Note that installing its new AMS may
cause problems when attempting to run Assembly programs such as
the games on my site. Titanium
features here.
DoorsOS: DoorsOS is one
of the best shells for the TI-89 and allows you to run most Assembly
programs. It also contains DoorsOS explorer, a graphical file
explorer, as well as a compiler for Assembly programs.
TICT: TICT, or the TI-Chess
Team, is a very popular programming group with great contributions
towards the 68k calculators. TICT has produced such fine titles
as TI-Chess, TI-MineSweeper, and TICT eBook Reader. Also noteworthy
is the fact that it is one of the first major TI-89 programming
groups to write TI-89 programs in C.
