|

Hi,
I am using my TI-89 for 6 years now. The last week I am having 2 problems:
1)
It won't go off, when I press 2nd - off it shuts down and immediately reboots. The only way to turn it off is to remove a battery.
2)
It gives the error: Link transmission. I can't connect to a computer or another TI-89. The cables are ok: My TI-83 works fine. The solutions in the FAQ don't work.
Is there anybody who knows a possible solution to one or both problems?
Thanks in advance. |

did you try removing the back up battery.
Or post this Q on http://www.unitedti.org/index.php
Much more traffic there. Luck. |

Yes I tried that, I removed all batteries (incl backup) for an entire night, but it didn't work.
Thanks for the link, I'll try there. |

Answere on both questions :
Your link port is probably broken.
You should look in the port to see if there is any damage.
If there is, you should open it to see if you can repare it, if not, you have to replace it.
Good luck. |
