My calculator can't be found when connected to my PC.

I've been trying to add new programs to my Ti-89. On some of the files, it read "Incompatible Type". I searched for a solution to this problem and I read to install TiLP. I downloaded it and installed it. After doing that, if I try to send a file to my ti-89, it can't even find the calculator when it says, "Send to Device". It is connected and turned on, and it can't locate it. I thought that uninstalling and re-installed Ti-Connect would solve this, but the problem is still there. I also uninstalled the TiLP. Any advice on what might be the problem? Sorry if this topic has already been covered. Thanks!!
