| Anytime I try to use the X variable, I get a message saying "Argument Error". I have no idea what I've done. Does anyone have any ideas? |

| I still don't know what I did. But if anyone else has this problem you can just go to "Clean up" and clear a-z. at least that worked for me. |

Hi hannahbeth28,
Welcome to TI-89.org forums.
Essentially, there was a program or function stored on your calculator under the name "x". When you did "clear a-z", the calculator deleted the definition for the variable "x". It was probably looking for something like x(3,4) so when you just used "x" in an expression, there was an "Argument Error".
Hope this helps.
