Welcome to TI-89 Forums!
This is a very common error caused by bugs in Assembly programs. You need to take out one or more batteries and let the calculator sit for a few minutes, then put the batteries back in. If that doesn't work, you can try taking out all the batteries (including the small backup battery above the other batteries behind the screw cover). Note that you will lose all of your RAM by resetting your calculator this way (but you have no other choice). Anything in ROM, like archived programs and other variables, should not be lost.
