Hello,
I have just tried to update the operating system of my Ti 89 with the latest version from the TI web site in order to take advantage of EE package.
During the install I got a link error (using graph link) and the calculator displayed
“press I to continue"
I did this and the install began again. At about 50% I got another link error and the same “press I to continue"
I press I again and let the install process go again. At about 20% the calculator simply turned off.
Since then I have not be able to turn it back on.
I have tried removing all (including the lithium cell) the batteries and leaving it for 12 hours and also all the 2nd + left + right + on trick with no joy.
Is the calculator not working because the ROM has been corrupted during the install/crash?
Is it recoverable?
I am new to TI calculators having just got rid of my casio old fx-9700GE
Kind regards
