Problem on my 89

When i go to enter a negative number (hitting the minus sign), it includes ANS(1) the first thing? I don't want to use my previous answer as part of the current problem.
How do i get ANS to stop coming up? Thanks if you can help me

Hi ska50,

You might try entering a space before every entry to keep ANS from popping up. Also, use the negative sign, not the minus sign, to indicate negative numbers (it's on the bottom row next to 0 and looks like a shortened minus). Typing the negative sign will not put ANS into the entry box.

I don't know if there is any way to disable the ANS feature short of some assembly utility that alters the operating system.
