Hi ska50,
You might try entering a space before every entry to keep ANS from popping up. Also, use the negative sign, not the minus sign, to indicate negative numbers (it's on the bottom row next to 0 and looks like a shortened minus). Typing the negative sign will not put ANS into the entry box.
I don't know if there is any way to disable the ANS feature short of some assembly utility that alters the operating system.
