any time i do the derivative of sec(x) i know i should get sec(x)tan(x), but i always get sin(x)/cos(x)^2, and when i do integral of sec(x) i get ln(|cos(x)/|sin(x)-1||). i know that these are equal but the answers given always use sin and cos rather than reciprocal identities, which is better for me. so is there any way to make it so the answer given uses the r.i's?
its useful for complicated trig integrals.

As far as i know, I don't think it is possible. It is like how the calculator puts the positive term of an equation first. It's just something you can't change.
