| ok i cant figure out how to do percents or do fractions with a whole number like 5 and 5/8 it just mulitplies the two fives and how to turn a number into scientific notation and how do you put absolutes in a problem? |

Just use the decimal form to get a percent.
I'm not sure what you mean with the fractions.
You can insert absolute values with the abs() function. |

to get the number 5 and 5/8, you would need to type in (5+5/8)
there is no handling of whole numbers with fractional components on the 89, or other graphing calculators IIRC |
