I just got a TI 89 Titanium with the usb cable a few days ago.
I havent been able to use anything in TI Connect except for "TI DeviceInfo" - this feature works ok after selecting a device.
Here is what happens:
I Open Ti connect, turn on the TI, connect it the ol' laptop. When I click on say, TI DeviceExplorer, I get the standard "Select TI Device" window and it searches for my TI. It then lists under "PORT" USB1 and COM3. Then my device shows up as "USB Direct Cable - TI-89 TItanium." So everything is good, right? So when I highlight the device, click on "SELECT", that "Select TI Device" window dissapears and ANOTHER ONE shows up!
However, when that window shows up, it lists device <NOT FOUND> under both USB1 and COM3.
THis is pretty much tru for ALL of the TI-connect functions, except DeviceInfo and Screen Capture where that feature just crashes.
So before you go calling me a dumbass, I have done pretty much all of the obvious stuff listed in the TI web-site and other Forums. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver several times - both using windows automatic searching and pointing to the driver file on my computer manually. I have uninstalled and reinstalled TI CONNECT s/w both from the CD and off the website - also several times.
I removed several programs from my comp that TI has listed as known conflicts with. I have even put new batteries in the TI and shut off virus scan on my machine. Still no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions or experienced this before?
Thanks,
-Dan |
