I turned on my TI-89 and a black screen came up. I tried lighting the screen and changed the batteries. Any ideas? Thanks

it will be a little easier for people to answer if you just provide a little more detail eg. did the calc experience heavy impact, moisture or what was it like and what did you do at last time you calculator functioned normally.

I dropped it but it wasn't a bad drop. My teacher drops hers all the time and it works fine. She said it would be weird for it to stop working because of it dropping.

try to do this if you havn't

1. remove one of the four battery.
2. press and hold (-) and ) as you reintall the battery.
3. Continue holding (-) and ) for another 5 seconds before releasing.

this will clear all momery. it MAY clear your problem....
