| I seem to have a problem with TI connect. When I enter TI DeviceExplorer it can't find my TI 89 Titanium calculator so I can't update my OS. Do I ahve to use the cable that comes with the calculator, or is a normal USB cable enough? I seem to misplaced mu original USB cable. |

try this: connect your calculator ( make sure it's on) to your computer when you are NOT running Ti-connect. you computer should detect a new device. if not, right click my computer-property-hardware-add new hardware. follow the instructions (basicly just click next) and you should be fine. try ti-connect again.
I don't think you have to use the original cable; i am using the same cable for my 89, 84 and a digital camera. |

Excellent - I just had to install my calculator as new hardware. It has to be turned on for that.
Thanks a lot for the help |
