i have an old TI-89 (12 years old). it locked up so i removed all of the batteries including the back up. resintalled new batteries and it started working again but with a problem.
simple math does not give answer in decimal form. if i want 50 divided by 9 it displays the answer as 50/9 but i want the decimal answer. if i input 50.0 divided by 9.0 it gives a decimal answer. similar with other operations. additionally all answers are rounded off to 6 digits.
i have not yet tried any higher math operations because i dont use them very often.
is there a setting to change this? |
