I have been trying to figure this out for days and for some reason I just can't find the setting. I am trying to get my TI89 Titanium to display answers in algebraic form but I am getting numbers where I don't want them. For example, 3x^2(-5) yields a -540, where I am looking for a -15x^2. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, I just need to pass this one summer class and all my hard stuff is done.. Rolling Eyes

Instead of using X, try using a different variable A, B, C, etc. Use a variable that you havent defined before.
