Hi,
On my stats course the interquartile range is calculated by taking the value at;
x
(1/4(n+1))
and
x
(3/4(n+1))

so for n=10, the lower quartile value would be the 2.75th value of x, ie .75 between x at 2 and x at 3.

The TI-89 calculates the lowest value of x in that range, so usually picks the 3rd value of x.

Is there an easy way to get a TI-89 to return the former interquartile ranges?
Thanks,

T
