Hi all,
I assume the 89 titanium is able to graph implicit equations(*) but so far have found no evidence to support this (other than that the 89 is a calculus calculator). If it can please tell how to tell it to. Any help on this would be appreciated.
PS. I have tried to find help on this subject in the calculator manual but have been unable to.
* such as dy/dx = 6x(x^2 + y^2)/y |

Hi,
I think you need the free Calc Tools program. http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_calctools_89.html
I think it comes preinstalled on the titanium. If you're using the 89, then you have to install it yourself. As far as I know that is the only way to do implicit differentiation on the 89. |

| I have a titanium and I don't think that program came installed (I got the calculator new) but I can still use things like "ImpDif(" |

That's interesting, I can't find that in the catalog on my plain 89, so it might be another titanium only function.
Interestingly, the Calc Tool implicit differentiation function is called impDifN() which is almost like the function you have. |

| Do you know if the 89 titanium or Calc Tool supports graphing implicit equations? |

I don't think either of them support it unless it's possible to put it in y= form |
