| I turned on my TI-89 and a black screen came up. I tried lighting the screen and changed the batteries. Any ideas? Thanks |

it will be a little easier for people to answer if you just provide a little more detail eg. did the calc experience heavy impact, moisture or what was it like and what did you do at last time you calculator functioned normally. |

| I dropped it but it wasn't a bad drop. My teacher drops hers all the time and it works fine. She said it would be weird for it to stop working because of it dropping. |

try to do this if you havn't
1. remove one of the four battery.
2. press and hold (-) and ) as you reintall the battery.
3. Continue holding (-) and ) for another 5 seconds before releasing.
this will clear all momery. it MAY clear your problem.... |
