Hi,
I have a strange error message on my calculator - Line 1111 emulator. It stops me even from powering it off. I can’t go off the screen what at the top has black bar and this message. If I take batteries out and again in, it comes to the same screen. I tried to do [2nd]+[Left]+[Right]+[On]. Calculator went to reset, and for a short (1-2 seconds was normal and back to the same error message.
Is this repairable or I need a new calculator?

I had a TI-89 calculator with the same problem. [2nd]+[Left]+[Right]+[On] didn't work and the strange Line 1111 emulator screen came back. It happened after a bad app transfer.
I fixed it with a "Hard Reset":
1) remove AAA and backup batteries
2) press and hold "(-)" and ")" buttons while putting the AAA batteries back in
3) continue to hold until your calculator come back to life (took mine about 30 seconds)
4) put backup battery back in
*note "(-)" is the negative button, not the "-" minus button |
