I just bought a TI-89 and have borrow a Blacklink cable from a friend and downloaded TI connect.
When i open TI DeviceExplorer, it tells me: "TI-89 detected, but couldn't get status". I have tried to send files to the calculator but it dosnt work...
I can get a a screenshot from the calc into the computer but cant send anything to the calc.
Does anyone know what could be wrong? |

| How are you trying to send files? Are you just dragging and dropping, or what? |

Hei Magne!
Had the same problem here, playing around with Vista (yea i know... ) and the TI89. Bought this calc from a friend who used it a few years ago. In the meantime there have been firmware updates... and so..
Simply press the Updates button on the TI Connect app and upgrade to the latest version of the OS. Everything seems to work now!
If you have other software (basic code f.ex.) you need to back it up to another TI calc before you upgrade, or your code will be lost. I took the chance and found out the hard way... ohwell... basic sucks anyway
Best of luck!
