someone please help!!!!
all i want to do at this time is solve the following types of equations(not neccessarily liniar or not) using my newly purchased ti 89 titanium calculator. this is a pair not separate, to be solved together
4x-4y=-4
3x+4y= 32 |

you can use the solve( function, number 1 under the solve menu
it would look like
solve(4x-4y=-4 and 3x+4y=32,x)
the "and" command is second in the catalog under "a", it is used to command that you want both equations solved together
",y" can be substituted for the ",x", it just changes which answer is shown first
your answer should be y=5 and x=4

yes, that helps as a matter of fact I have been trying to get that to work for days and finally got it to work at 3 am this morning. i was under the understanding that there were other ways to do this same calculation?
I also understand that a program can be written that will make it much easier to key in, anyone out there that knows how?
