Is there one for the computer that programs in qbasic (TI-89 Basic). Im much better with a keyboard than the calculator keyboard.

aside from the ti emu, the only thing that would be beneficial, would be to write the program in notepad, transfer it to the note folio, save it to the calculator, then copy the file, put it in the program editor, and save the file as a program, run it, and all.
seriously its much easier to use the calculator keyboard. |

Perhaps this program would interest you (I have no connection with the program): TI ++ program editor. I think you can find it at Ticalc.

I downloaded this one, but I can't get it to work. I can't type in the main screen, it won't respond when I use the command adding system, and all I can do is input a title. |

Hi PhoenixRising925,
I downloaded that program myself and it seems pretty buggy. I couldn't get anything besides the title either. I can only recommend the method presented earlier in this topic, even though it sounds pretty involved. Once you get the method down pat for sending the program to the calculator, it's really not that bad.
And I would say that any way you can type the program on your computer is going to be faster than on the calculator unless the program is really small or you are doing a lot of testing at the same time as writing.
Hope this helps!

Okay, thanks. Last question then. When I do line returns, do I put in the colons for the start of each new line or not? |

You do not need colons.

| I use TI-GraphLink 89 from the TI-89 CD. It has all the keywords so you can either click on them or you can type them if you'd prefer. |
